Red-tailed hawk in morning sun
Usually, I see their strong confident wings moving among branches where there's no chance of a clear view. This morning was luckier.

Today's thermals were perfect, though I was beneath thick branches during most of the dramatic shows. But one hawk stayed to play late in the afternoon sun.
